Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Chambertin Grand Cru is blessed with a well-defined bouquet with delineated, quite effervescent red fruit that leaps from the glass. The medium-bodied palate is cohesive with sapid red fruit, good body and density and a dash of white pepper towards the finish. This is easily the best of the Domaine's 2022s, predictable as that reads, but that's the way it is. Excellent.

Cask sample. Much more extroverted than the Latricières. Dark cherry/kirsch/black plum to the fore. Concentrated, long, fine tannins to finish. Super-classy but certainly needs a few years. (AWH)

Cask sample. Lightish ruby, looking older than its years. Intensely inviting aromatic, red cherry and wild strawberry and a hint of oak sweetness. Firmly structured, rounded texture even now and a big build to a long finish. Impressive persistence. (JH)
