Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2013 Morey Saint Denis les Tres Girard has an enticing bouquet that is very well defined: blackberry, flint and wet rocks – like the Bourgogne Rouge expressing the mineral core over the fruit. The palate is underpinned by fine tannins, quite reserved for a Morey Saint Denis but with fine tension and mineral notes toward the finish.

(vinified with 50% whole clusters): Medium red. Soil-driven aromas of mocha, earth and smoky, rocky minerality. Ripe and sweet, with a pungent mineral spine and sound acidity intensifying the wine's red fruit flavors. Finishes with good mineral energy.

50% whole bunch, 35% new oak. Just next to her new winery. Chalk under 40 cm of soil. Very pretty nose full of scent and charm. With Morey grip and modulation. Lovely stuff. Who could resist? (JR)
