Tasting Notes and Scores
Relatively discreet wood and menthol notes frame the fresh, ripe, spicy and relatively airy nose that is composed of cool earth, red currant, black cherry and lilac aromas. There is excellent volume and richness to the full-bodied and distinctly serious medium weight flavors that possess good mid-palate concentration on the solidly well-detailed, mineral-infused and lengthy finish. This very serious effort is also going to require plenty of patience. Drink 2026+.

Allen Meadows
(from vines in Chabiots, Chatelots and Sentiers; vinified with 50% whole clusters): Brilliant, saturated red-ruby. Precise, high-pitched aromas of blackberry, cassis, violet, licorice and minerals show a subtly wild character. Then plush, supple and sweet in the mouth, stuffed with fruit and saline flavors. Conveys a higher-pH impression than the Morey Faconnières and Chenevery, coming across as more evolved and with less inner-mouth tension.
