Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from two parcels, the vines planted around the 1950s. The bouquet is well defined with white peach, clementine and light crushed stone aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is well balanced, with a silver thread of acidity, and quite mineral-driven toward the second half. A dash of lemongrass lends spiciness that lingers on the aftertaste. Delicious!
