The maiden 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet En Remilly 1er Cru comes from a rented parcel from Monnot’s grandmother, next to Chevalier-Montrachet. It has a lovely bouquet with scents of Golden Delicious apple, orange pith and shale-like aromas, all very well defined and displaying fine intensity. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and linear and then fanning out on the praline-tinged finish. Lovely.

Mingling aromas of pear, honeycomb, nutmeg and spiced peach, the 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru En Remilly is medium to full-bodied ample and fleshy, with a textural attack, an open-knit core and a nicely defined finish. It's an easy, charming En Remilly that's already showing well.
