Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes from several parcels. It has a well-defined bouquet, quite expressive since it had not been racked. The palate is well-defined, the 20% whole bunch nicely integrated, smooth and almost creamy in texture where I am just seeking a little more delineation. I think Tawse made better Village Crus in '20.

Cask sample. Mid garnet. Light nose and a bit simple. Precocious and not that expressive of Gevrey. Sweet, simple red burgundy? (JR)
