Smells a little riper than the Bourgogne Côte d'Or and a little more toasty/spicy oaky, but it's subtle, adding a mealy richness to the texture. Deep-fruited, mouth-filling and yet still bright and mouth-watering on the finish. Impressive for a village wine. Intense and very persistent. (JH)
