Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Encegnières, matured in 25% new oak, a little more wood than last year, offers white peach, honeysuckle and light saffron scents on the nose. Not complex, but very pretty. The palate is tight on the entry, quite saline at first, a slightly more compact Chassagne with a lovely waxy texture towards the engaging finish. It will deserve 3-4 years in bottle.
