The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes felt muddled on the nose and lacked freshness. There is a slightly stewed element to this wine. The palate is better with dark cherry and raspberry notes, grainy in texture, though it needs more complexity and nuance on the finish that feels a little baked.
