The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which comes from Petit Maupertui, is tightly wound on the nose, quite concentrated but just missing a little amplitude at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite peppery even though there is no whole bunch here, fine grip towards the finish. Give this 4-6 years in bottle. Has it got something else up its sleeve?
