Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaliots, matured in one-third new oak, comes across a little static on the nose, offering pressed flower notes with time but never quite clicking in to fifth gear. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannins and good acidity, although the finish feels rather abrupt at the moment, with just a touch of hardness that will hopefully ebb with bottle age. We will see.
