Tasting Notes and Scores

91 ST

Moderately saturated medium bright red. Much more reticent on the nose than the Chaffots, displaying a slightly herbal quality to its aroma of tart dark cherry. Then spicy, ripe and surprisingly dense, showing a subtly building sweetness in the mouth. But this wine from mineral-rich white marl soil with small pebbles is still a bit clenched and its finish shows a touch of dryness. Production here was 23 hectoliters per hectare.
