Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a perfumed nose with more evidence of oak, a little creamier and slightly nutty. I appreciate the complexity here, although it requires time. The palate is well-balanced, with a dab of spice on the entry. It's cohesive and a little oaky at the moment, though, that will be subsumed with time. One of the more elegant and refined Corton-Charlemagne, it delivers a complex nose with hints of ginger and marmalade that add another dimension. It's worth hunting down. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
