The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is a powerful, dense wine imbued with deep earthy and soil-inflected notes that confer a sense of gravitas. That perception is amplified on the palate, where the wine is deep and muscular in feel. Readers should expect an introverted, brooding Chablis built on power. There is so much sheer concentration and richness here, but this wine needs time.

The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a very appealing bouquet of lemon verbena, chai tea and crushed stone aromas, becoming increasingly floral with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and a slightly waxy texture. Lemon zest, orange peel and touches of spice and walnut appear toward the finish. Superb.
