The 2021 Chablis Les Butteaux 1er Cru is more austere than the Chapelot at the moment with crushed rock (basalt?) and light malic notes. It gains intensity in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a strong apply entry. Fine depth, a little more bitterness on the back end that keeps the saliva flowing, long and tender on the finish. Excellent.
