Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru comes from a vineyard that was once planted with Chardonnay and replanted with Pinot Noir in 2003. It is totally destemmed. In keeping with the relatively young vines, the nose here is not as complex as some of the domaine’s other cuvées, yet it is fresh and vivid, offering pleasant raspberry and briary aromas. The palate is nicely balanced with sappy red fruit, and quite saline toward the finish, but without the length of its peers.
