The 2016 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has impressive amplitude on the nose with an array of red berry fruit, sous-bois and dried rose petal aromas. There is fine delineation here. The palate is well balanced with succulent tannin that belie the structure behind this beautifully crafted, serious Clos de Vougeot. There is just the right amount of salinity on the finish whilst the persistence is very impressive. Highly recommended from this upcoming producer. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.
