Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Perrières 1er Cru contains more fruit than Trapet's "Alea" with raspberry and blackcurrant mixed with wild hedgerow. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin; however, the brambly dark fruit mixed with cracked black pepper is attractive. There is satisfying persistence and a bit of gumption on the finish. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.
