Tasting Notes and Scores
Full bottle 1,351 g. The description of this wine from the grower suggests it contains quite a bit of wine from Champeaux too. 75% of the Cazetiers vines are 60 years old, the rest planted in 1999. All of the Champeaux vines were planted in 1981. Clay on Bathonian limestone at about 300 m. Lively mid garnet; deeper coloured than most of this producer's reds. Very vigorous and lively with some tannin still in evidence. Pure Gevrey! Grainy texture with hint of tamarind and much less sweet than the Nuits. Fresh and still very youthful. Great balance and potential. (JR)
