The 2019 Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots 1er Cru has a tightly-wound bouquet with raspberry, wild strawberry and earthy aromas. This just needs a few months to open. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly lactic, dark chocolate-tinged entry, moderate depth though the oak feels a little clumsy and occludes the terroir expression and mineralité on the finish.
