The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru has a fragrant and floral bouquet with lemon sherbet, chai and light lime scents. A fine underlying mineralité comes through with aeration. Good energy. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, quite tensile and linear, but there is plenty of energy with a precise and composed finish that lingers temptingly in the mouth. Good potential and a classy offering. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
