The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a higher-toned bouquet than the Les Suchots, raspberry and tayberry, wilted rose petals and a touch of tangerine. Open and expressive, it gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent entry, silky smooth thanks to the filigree tannins. It gains weight and grip towards the finish with a touch of cracked black pepper on the aftertaste. Excellent.
