Tasting Notes and Scores
The maiden 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 1er Cru (Rouge) offers red cherries, sous-bois and orange rind on the nose. Not intense, but it seems clean and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit and fine weight; it's quite harmonious towards the finish that just misses a little complexity. Yet, I think this will drink well once in bottle and will be difficult to resist in its youth.
