Tasting Notes and Scores
Based on the 2015 vintage, the latest release of Henriot's NV Brut Souverain offers up inviting aromas of white peach, apple blossom, nectarine and pastry cream. Medium-bodied, bright and fleshy, with a pretty core of fruit, tangy acids and a pillowy mousse, it's drinking well on release.

This has good intensity on the nose with aromas of granite, apple-blossom and a touch of white peach. Moderate definition. The palate is well balanced with racy acidity, attractive sense of harmony with a flint, reserved finish. Good length. Well-crafted. Tasted March 2008.

The last opus of Henriot NV Blanc Souverain is based on the 2016 vintage and displays elegant aromas of lemon, spring flowers, pear and nuts. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and lively, with freshness-driven acidity, it’s both delicate and ethereal on the finish with graceful menthol notes.

Bakery, white peach, citrus, lemon sherbet and a good balance of acid and dosage (which is less than 7 g/l, apparently). Medium body with moderate length, very much in the standard champagne style. (RH)
