Yet another legendary vintage that many select as the best ever to come from the property. However, despite its greatness, I contend that this is no more than a normal Krug. At the age of thirty it's still very youthful and acidic. The oak tones have a delightful nerve and are supported by the aroma of a bakery in the morning. The mid-palate is more impressive than the aftertaste, which is dominated by ripe apple and vanilla.
