Loads of Krug aromas and voluptuousness, gigantic body, and warm fruit. Even so, this is the vintage that has constantly failed to impress me. The vanilla aroma is a little exaggerated, and the elegance is greater in Cristal and Salonâ€”to take two examplesâ€”this year.

The 1976 Krug Vintage was spellbinding. The wine’s signature warm, toasty creaminess was beautifully balanced by vibrant, bracing acidity. It was a great Champagne.
