Disgorged in March 2019 with 4.5 grams per liter dosage, the 2008 Extra Brut Rosé Premier Cru 1522 may be the finest rendition of this cuvée to date. Opening in the glass with aromas of red berries, fresh peach, rose petal and spices including cardamon and cinnamon, it's medium to full-bodied, vinous and textural, with excellent concentration and a structured core, girdled by lively acids and concluding with a long and mineral finish.

The 2008 Cuvée 1522 offers notable depth and gravitas, but it also remains very much light on its feet. Cranberry, citrus, chalk mint, white flowers are some of the many notes that are found. A real sense of tannin and phenolic intensity begin to emerge as the wine opens up in the glass. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter. Disgorged February 2016.
