Veuve Cliqcuot’s Cave Privée programme sets aside allocations of each vintage release – in this case the stellar 2020. Tasted in magnum, this is showing all the hallmarks of quality and mature complexity. Intense, rich aromas: fresh citrus and lemon tart notes mingle with nutty savoury tones and an evolved toastiness that's oh so satisfying. The palate is marked with impressive freshness; savoury with rich umami notes that play off against minerality and bright fruit: peach, pear and lemon. Creeamy and smooth, with great persistence and length. A stunner!
