Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2009 Brut Grand Cellier d'Or is impossibly silky and soft on the palate. Spice notes meld into apricot pit and peach nuances in an open, super-expressive Champagne. I don't see the 2009 as a long-term ager, but it sure is beautiful today. There is no doubt about that. The Cellier d'Or is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, both from Les Blanches Voies Bas in Rilly-la-Montagne. Disgorged May 2013. Dosage is 8 grams per liter.
