Showing signs of maturity, the 2004 Ermitage le Meal is an elegant, pretty and seamless Hermitage that offers up plenty of dried flowers, dried spices, leather and both blackberry and raspberry-like fruit characteristics. It's fully mature and I'd opt for drinking bottles over the coming 7-8 years.

Dense and rich, without the power, concentration, and depth of the top vintages, is the elegant, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Ermitage Le Meal. Crisp acidity buttresses copious quantities of creme de cassis, creosote, and black truffles. This stylish effort should be at its finest between 2008-2018.
