Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is a beautifully Provencal effort that gives up loads of black licorice, savory spice, leather and sweet black cherry aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and already approachable, it nevertheless has the tannic structure and concentration to evolve for 10-15 years.

Wine Advocate October, 2013
Looking first at the 2012s, which were all still in barrel at the time of this tasting, the classic 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape is a rocking base cuvee that gives up loads of blackberry, licorice and Provencal herbs with a ripe, seamless style. Borderline voluptuous, with medium to full-bodied richness, it is a pleasure-bent effort that should shine on release. Drink 2014-2022.

Deep ruby. Dark berries and cherry compote on the nose, with a touch of smoky herbs in the background. Round and velvety in texture, offering pliant bitter cherry and blackberry flavors and a hint of dark chocolate. Plush, broad and very fruity, finishing with lingering sweetness and supple tannins.
