A 70-30 blend of Roussanne and Grenache, the 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir offers up scents of struck flint, citrus zest and white peaches. Medium-bodied, this largely barrel fermented effort is focused and linear in shape, finishing with ample freshness and length.

NB vintage! 55% Roussanne, 45% Grenache Blanc. Cask sample. Crisp, herbal notes allied with full-bodied, rich, ripe stone fruit on the palate. Very appealing, lovely combination of sweet fruit, purity of flavour, bright acidity, complex savoury and herbal notes to finish. Generous and rich/ripe. (AWH)
