The 2015 Saint Joseph is a head-turner. Knockout aromas of violets, herbal notes and hints of raspberry preserves mark the nose of this medium to full-bodied wine. It’s firmly tannic but ripe and concentrated, with a long, mouthwatering finish.

Brilliant violet. The alluringly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and dark berries, licorice, Asian spices and incense and shows a strong mineral overtone. Stains the palate with intense black raspberry and boysenberry flavors that deepen and stretch out with air. Offers a compelling blend of richness and finesse, finishing extremely long, sappy and sweet, the smooth tannins sneaking in late. I can't wait to see how this wine turns out once it’s in bottle.

Profound, rich nose with stemmy herbal notes and a long, finely woven tannic finish. Layers of floral scent with a lingering meaty note and the most excellent floral quality. (RH)
