Tasting Notes and Scores
Samples of Grenache tasted at the domaine, from three different parcels: heart, sunrise and sunset. Heart: rather funky nose with some farmy stink about it, but the most exquisite crunchy red fruit too. Pepper and mace spice. Long, refined, profound. Sunset: Less spice than the heart parcel, but still loaded with red fruit of rare clarity. Lightly chewy tannin. Sunrise: finely layered and less immediately fruity than the heart and sunset parcels, but with subtlety, nuance, fine lengthy tannin and great perfume on the finish. (RH)

Grenache, Clairette. Cask sample. Wonderfully nutty aroma with layers of peach and apricot. Creamy and buttery on the palate with fantastic chew and length. Expands in many dimensions. (RH)
