Tasting Notes and Scores
Next to the traditional cuvée, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul is even riper and more concentrated, but that's not always a good thing. This all-Grenache cuvée offers fudge-like density and rich tannins but also cooked, dead-fruit flavors and bright acidity on the finish. - Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate #233, October 2017

La Crau, La Guigasse, Les Serres. 100% Grenache. Partial whole-bunch fermentation at 25 °C in concrete tanks. Aged for 12 months in demi-muids (30%) and in concrete tanks (70%). pH 3.7, TA 3.3 g/l. Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Very sweet start with some spice and energy. Lively wine. Still firm tannins but it should get there. Just slightly drying on the end. (JR)
