The 2019 Frühlingsplätzchen GG is clear and pure yet intense on the nose that reveals notes of dried and stewed apples along with flinty and herbal notes of crushed slate. Full-bodied, lush and round on the palate, this is an intense and saline, crystalline and finely tannic Frühlingsplätzchen with lush and intense fruit and quite a lot of power. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2022.

AP number 19 20. Rather mild and well-mannered on the nose compared with other wines from this producer. Suave and citrus-flavoured. Very fresh and complete with a lightly smoky undertow. So juicy with a saline streak. Really full of interest for a 12.5% wine. (JR)
