Tasting Notes and Scores
A big, sweeping wine, Corino's 2010 Barolo Rocche Annunziata bursts from the glass with layers of sweet, intensely perfumed dark red fruit, flowers, mint, licorice and sweet spices. A vivid, striking wine, the 2010 flows across the palate with superb depth and purity. The creamy, textured finish is pure Rocche. This may very well be the finest Rocche Renato Corino has ever made, and that includes the 1990.The young Nebbiolo tannins are there, but they are virtually covered by the richness of the fruit.
Antonio Galloni
A wonderfully pure Nebbiolo nose of plums and rose petal follow through to a full body, with chewy and refined tannins and a long finish. The tannins are polished and succulent.
James Suckling
Mind Blowing purity of rose, violet and red berry, Very smooth and long. Drinking Window 2025 - 2050
Decanter
La Morra. Concentrated ruby with the beginning of orange on the rim. A little meaty and savoury on the nose. Intense and concentrated on the palate, a little jammy almost. A big mouthful of fruit but with an admirable balance. Oak note on a super-concentrated finish. Drink 2016 - 2030
