Tasting Notes and Scores

18.5 JR

Surprisingly concentrated mature ruby. More coherent, complex and more youthful than the 1964! Sweet dried-fruit notes with hints of tobacco. Impressive fullness of fruit on the nose. Succulent and lively and with plenty of depth on the palate and with the most gorgeous, long, grainy tannins that only age can deliver. Walter Speller Oct 2023

18.5 WS

'An outstanding vintage of powerful, lively wines that are widely regarded as one of the truly legendary vintages in Piedmont.' Surprisingly concentrated mature ruby. (WS)
