Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2007 Barolo Brunate is a stunner. Layers of dark fruit, mocha, chocolate, menthol, pine and spices emerge reluctantly from an inward, mysterious Barolo that captures the essence of one of Piedmont's greatest sites. Structurally, it remains a powerhouse, with massive tannins, great body and fabulous length. The Brunate may be one of the most improved wines at Vietti over the last few years, and is a huge success in this vintage.

Good full red. Brilliant aromas of red berries, cherry, wild herbs, mint, minerals and rose petal, all lifted by a pungent blood orange note. Wonderfully sweet and generous but with outstanding clarity of flavor too, not to mention a big structure for a Barolo from La Morra. The broad, layered finish features noble tannins and great resonating length and lift. Grand cru grain and class.
