Tasting Notes and Scores

17.5 RH

First vintage. Fermented in 500 and 600 litre barrels. 300 cases. Under cork! Significant oak influence giving cream and spice aromas. Fabulous integration on the palate with great purity of fruit – there’s a candied edge and a luscious ripe green citrus flavour. Lovely length and texture. (RH)

From one parcel. Biodynamic and certified. Fermented in French oak puncheons, 40% new. 12 months on lees. TA 8.9 g/l, RS >3 g/l, pH 3. Definite oak aroma and flavour but it has the integrity and depth to carry it. Not unlike a ripe Bordeaux Blanc. Big and still refined with just a touch of Sauvignon Blanc grassiness on the long finish. Very good if you like an oaky style. (JH)
