Tasting Notes and Scores
Adi Badenhorst only makes 780 bottles of this old vine Cinsault, alas, sourced from a block planted in the 1960s. Racy and alluringly scented, with potpourri and rooibos tea aromas, goji berry and raspberry coulis flavours, subtle ginger spice and more structure than you think. (Tim Atkin MW)
Decanter
The 2021 Cinsault Ringmuur, which is whole bunch pressed and raised in concrete, has an attractive bouquet morello cherry, crushed strawberry and potent floral scents: lavender and iris. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, clean and pure with a sensual, very Rhône-like garrigues-tinged finish. Lovely.
