Tasting Notes and Scores
eRobertParker.com November, 2013
Even better is the 2012 Borsao Tinto, a blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Tempranillo aged in stainless steel. Made in the fourth straight drought vintage in the province of Zaragoza, this has been a big-time winner in just about every vintage it has been produced. A delicious black cherry, crushed chalk and flower-scented nose jumps from the glass of this richly fruity, medium to full-bodied, supple, velvety-textured red. This mouthfilling 2012 should drink well for several years.
Wine Advocate
(85% garnacha and 15% tempranillo; all stainless steel): Vivid purple. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, violet and white pepper. Supple, spicy and pliant, with an appealingly sweet quality to the dark berry, spice and floral flavors. Plenty of personality here, especially at the price. Finishes on a refreshingly bitter note, with silky tannins and very good persistence. Josh Raynolds
