The 2015 El Cerro de Valdecañada is from a single 0.6-hectare plot on a very steep north-facing slope at 850 meters in altitude, one of the cooler parts of Bierzo, where all of the white vines had been regrafted, so it has no white grapes. This has the austere profile, but it's a lot more elegant, less rustic. It has a Rhône character, meaty and juicy, really very good. 235 bottles produced.
