Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2010 The Trouble With Dreams came from one of the few magnums remaining in reserve and was priced at £250 per bottle as Dermot Sugrue had so much demand and wanted to keep some back. It spent just over six years on the fine lees and was disgorged in September 2017. The steely and beautifully defined bouquet presents touches of undergrowth and a hint of peppermint. The taut, linear palate is fresh and vibrant, displaying a brilliant line of acidity and more depth than the bottle version. Complex and mineral-driven, leaving touches of bitter lemon, Granny Smith apple and orange peel on the persistent finish. This is simply outstanding. Drinking Window: 2021-2040. Tasted from Magnum, July 2020.
