Tasting Notes and Scores
Fermented in French oak, 33% new, and aged for 11 months in barrel, the 2014 Chardonnay Bacigalupi Vineyard displays an expressive nose of ripe grapefruit, lemon peel, ripe pears and peach blossoms with touches of crushed stones, baking bread and coriander seed. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has an electric backbone of racy acid, cutting through the intense citrus and mineral-laced flavors, finishing long and savory. 347 cases were made. LPB Dec 2017

Edge Hill's 2014 Chardonnay Bacigalupi Vineyard is a wine of real personality and class. It is also quite striking. There is notable density and texture to the fruit, but the wine is not at all heavy. Orchard fruit, white flowers, mint and candied lemon peel meld into the super-expressive finish. Dec 2016

Makes the most of a rich center of fig, tangerine, anise and honeydew flavors. For all the sheer fruit complexity, this gains lift, imparting a more elegant profile. Drink now through 2021. 349 cases made. JL June 2017
