Savory and resinous, the 2019 Pinot Noir Gathered Stones is spicy with toasted black pepper, savory forest herbs, and black cherry liqueur. Medium to full-bodied, it has balanced intensity, with ripe structure, an even spine of acidity, and a core of red fruit shining through its long finish. It offers wonderful purity and should prove to be a solid, age-worthy wine from Rose & Arrow.

The fruit on the nose is abundant with the gentlest touch of reduction and charcuterie meatiness. Ripe and fleshy with black cherry and a balsam-wood perfume. Very structured. The tannin is sticky and tactile and the acid is elevated. Long, complete and ageworthy.
