Tasting Notes and Scores
96pts Audrey Frick Jeb Dunnuck.com Woodsy and introspective, the 2019 dark red Pinot Noir Highland Close is lush with aromas of pine, gravelly earth, cracked pepper, black cherry liqueur, and anise. Full-bodied, it fills the palate with generous ripe fruit that lifts cleanly off the long finish, with sweet tannins and a supple, spherical mouthfeel. It’s going to take time to shed its baby fat and lean into its mineral accents, but it should have a long drinking window. Drink 2025-2040.
