En Primeur 2021 Releases: May 31st

After a few rather quiet days we have one of the ‘sleepers’ of Bordeaux released this morning: Malescot St Exupery 2021 is now available at GBP 444. This represents a reduction of 4% on the 2020 release and for a wine which has been a player of significance in Margaux for a number of years, albeit rather unrecognised outside of the critics. It therefore looks like seriously good value, especially given the price rises of physical vintages in the market – the 2020 is currently 8% higher at GBP 480 and the 2019 is between 15 and 20% above.
