Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Citran charges out of the glass with bold scents of crushed redcurrants, black raspberries and cassis, plus wafts of dried Provence herbs and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate delivers lovely freshness with a chewy texture supporting the red berry and savory flavors, finishing with an herbal lift.
A firm, racy wine with crushed-berry, walnut and spice character. Medium body and firm finish. A little austere now.A firm, racy wine with crushed-berry, walnut and spice character. Medium body and firm finish. A little austere now.

Deepest crimson with purple rim. Ripe but fresh and sweet black fruits with a darker savoury edge and a hint of mocha. Light and attractive hint of stone dust. A contrast between the juicy fruit at the core and the very fine, very dry tannins. As in other Haut-Médoc wines in this vintage, the tannins seem high but extremely fine. Lovely freshness if perhaps a little light on fruit in the middle. But still with a certain dry elegance. (JH)
Floral, fresh and fruity with its bouquet of black raspberries, cherries, cocoa and herbs, the wine is medium-bodied, soft, round, fresh and lifted with a nice, vibrant, juicy, chewy and crisp finish. 87-89
