Tasting Notes and Scores
A dark and brooding nose that has coal smoke, anise, swirling baking spices and dark chocolate with blood plum and blackberry fruits as well as a stony, graphite-like savoury edge, the oak is nicely integrated and has a subtle complexing influence. The palate's bathed in silky tannins, delivering plenty of rich Belgian chocolate flavours with succulent dark plum and cherry fruits at the core, the tannins are full of life, beautifully ripe and supple, long energetic finish. Drinks well now but will reveal much more if you wait, best from 2020.
