It's no secret that Bollinger are partners in Bordeaux Index but this is not a question of listing this wine for this reason; this wine is the reason that we developed the partnership. Iconic, exceptional, vibrant, everlasting: we simply adore Bollinger Special Cuvée.
Considered one of the ‘Great’ Champagne houses, Bollinger is renowned for producing powerful Champagnes with body, depth and power. As Charles-Armand de Belenet, Managing Director of Bollinger states that Bollinger is all about “craftsmanship, simplicity and the essence of ingredients”.
Widely regarded as one of the finest non-vintage Champagnes of them all: Bollinger Special Cuvée. This very special Champagne already has an enviable track record with history, quality and no less than a Royal Warrant on its side. In recent years it has finessed its style yet further, retaining its signature richness and texture but delivering an even more focused and chiselled experience. Special Cuvée is the result of the delicate blending between harvest grapes and a majority of Reserve Wines in magnums, including some aged for more than 15 years in Bollinger’s cellars. The name came about in 1911, when Bollinger’s British agent gave the idea for the name Special Cuvée - “special” written the English way, without an accent. Over a century later and the name of Bollinger’s key figure champagne still symbolises both its expertise and its history. "
